Chepstow Harriers Running Club

Welcome to the Chepstow Harriers Club Championships 2010 I know the 2009 results are not yet finalised but we are now in 2010 and you need to prepare yourselves for the all new Championships. The 2009 information follows this new information. There will be 12 nominated races ranging in distance from 4 miles up to half marathon, some road and some off road. You can also submit your best marathon time and we will include your best time in the Club Handicap series. Up to 7 races will count and a simplified scoring system (details to follow) to take part in the championship you need to do a minimum of 2 road and 2 off road events. Points are awarded based on your finishing position and your time. The Championship races attract lots of Harriers to take part. It’s always good to have your friends around in a race. The support is great, and to make the event more social we often have a pub visit after each race.	Recent news..... 1. Results now online following January race, see below 2. 2010 Events .....	2010 Championship Results
The January [OFF ROAD] nominated race is the Riverbank Rollick on 17th (Sun), organised by Thornbury RC just over the bridge so not far to travel. It’s an 8 - 9 mile off road run with very little ascent, potential for a bit of mud though. There is a playground for those with children. February’s [OFF ROAD] race is our very own leisure centre league cross country in Piercefield Park, so the race is free and you can just turn up with your number on February 21st (Sun).	February Results to be added
March’s [ROAD] race is the Forest of Dean half marathon on 28th (Sun). Do enter this soon as it will fill up! Look it up on Google and it will link you to the correct website. It’s cheaper to enter it online. Race website	March Results to be added

About the Championship

One race is selected every month as the championship race, from which points are awarded for performance relative to other club members.
