There will be 12 monthly races plus 3 bonus categories from which to complete the required number of races (7).
The monthly races are: Kymin,
Tough 10, Forest of Dean Half,
Best Bunny Run,
Berkeley 10k, Road LCL,
Waun Fach,
Cranham Boundary Chase,
Hay Hill Raiser, Hope valley, Guy Fawkes 5,
Christmas Tree.
In addition there are 3 bonus races: any marathon (must be a measured 26.2 mile course), any Parkrun (5k), Man V Horse.
Detailed Rules:
1. At least 2 races must be each of Road and 2 Multi terrain (M/T). You then include the best other 3 scores from any category/ bonuses to add up to 7 qualifying races. You can obviously do more than 7 races in which case your best 7 scores after the above criteria are applied are taken.
2. Some races are categorised as ‘Both’ and this means you may nominate them as road or M/T.
3. Bonus races cannot be used as Road/MT races due to the range of terrain used for parkruns and marathons. They can however be used to make up your other 3 after the core 2 Road and 2 M/T.
4. Points are awarded according to your finishing position in relation to other CH club runners (eg 1st = 100 and so on).
5. Separate first past the post championships are held for men and women.
6. Best in club (BIC) is calculated using WMA tables and ranked according to your percentage score. Highest score = 100 and so on. BIC is a joint male/ female competition.
7. Any eventualities not covered by these rules need to be raised with the club championship co-ordinators (Sue Ashton, Vanessa Lawson and Steven Harris) and any decision they make is final.
If you want your best Parkrun and/or your best Marathon time counted in the club championship then you must email James at stats@chepstowharriers.org.uk
with the place and date that you ran (so he can find you in the results), or simply provide a link to the results website. If you don’t and he doesn’t know that you have run, then you won’t be included in the results. It would also help if you let him know fairly soon after you have run, as it would be a pain for him to correct the results retrospectively
